About Artisan, Cole Talbot
Metal artist Cole Talbot, founder of Iron Oak Designs, draws inspiration from the natural world to shape his distinctive, handcrafted creations. A self-taught artisan with professional welding expertise, Cole’s work reflects a lifelong connection to nature — the same sense of curiosity that first sparked his passion at sixteen when he created his inaugural piece, “The Beginning.”
Growing up surrounded by forests and rivers in Norfolk County, Cole’s appreciation for organic forms influences every design. From kayaking and hiking to exploring rural landscapes, his adventures continue to inspire his artistic metalwork and sculptural style.
Now more than a decade into his career, Cole has evolved Iron Oak Designs into a respected metal design studio recognized for custom fabrication and artistic metalwork across Canada and internationally. His creations are displayed in museums, private collections, and public installations, each one crafted with precision and individuality.
